KRABBI from LOUGH ARROW II

Krabbi means (little) crab.

born in 2017

F:      Árroði from Lough Arrow II
FF:    Prúður frá Neðra Ási 2
FM:  Signý from Dáréag Dair

M:     Prýði from Lough Arrow
FM:   Prúður frá Neðra Ási 2
MM: Geira von Maxhofen

Krabbi is a tall, strong but elegant colt with a very interesting pedigree. He is heavily line bred of old Northern Kolkuósi and Svaðastaðir lines.  His grand sire on both parents´side, Prúður,  was the winner of the breeding stallions 7 years and older category at the 1995  World Championships for Icelandic Horses in Switzerland.  Krabbi is a snuggle bug, very friendly, showing very well separated gaits with good lift, and a good conformation. He will be a wonderful leisure horse for an allround rider in the future with potential to also win more than a flower pot in competitions,

Krabbi is halter trained.
Krabbi can stay on being raised at the ranch under veterinary supervision for a reasonable fee.
He is regularly vaccinated and wormed, microchipped, and DNA-tested and registered with USIHC and Worldfengur.

Morgunrós is a small feminine  and elegant filly with a pedigree very interesting for breeders of the old Northern Kolkuósi and Svaðastaðir lines.  Her grand sire on both parents´side, Prúður,  was the winner of the breeding stallions 7 years and older category at the 1995  World Championships for Icelandic Horses in Switzerland.  Morgunrós is a genetic gold nugget showing very well separated gaits with good lift, and a good conformation. She would be an asset to any serious breeder´s herd. The fact that she is closely line bred promises predictably good foals in the future.

Morgunrós is halter trained, now in saddle training.

                  HERVIR from LOUGH ARROW II

Hervir (name means "Warrior"),

Chestnut tobiano gelding

born on 30th May 2015

is out of a fabulous Prúður frá Neðra Ási- daughter which is  one of my best brood mares here on the ranch.

F:    Skjór frá Bollastöðum
FF:  Ás frá Ármóti 8.45 1st Prize, by Sær frá Bakkakoti (Honor Prize)

M:    Flúð from Lough Arrow II
MF:  Prúður frá Neðra Ási II, 1st Prize 8.31, World Champion 1995
MM: Drífa from Lough Arrow

Hervir is the purrfect! gentleman.  He is polite, yet sweet and likes his scratches, but he is never pushy. He is a very relaxed horse.
His gaits are  wide and high, never stiff and tölt and trot are his favorite. He is a very fast learner, and is very mature for his age, physically and mentally. He will likely be around 14hh plus tall.
Hervir just started his ground training and will be started under saddle this fall.

Price Category C, increasing with training
FLUGA from LOUGH ARROW II

Fluga (name means "Fly", it is the name of the very first Icelandic mare that landed in Iceland in Flugumýri, she was a legend),

jet black mare

born 2013

is out of a Hrafn frá Kröggólfsstöðum daughter (famous Kolkuósi line) which was my best brood mare here on the ranch.

F:    Skjór frá Bollastöðum
FF:  Ás frá Ármóti 8.45 1st Prize, by Sær frá Bakkakoti (Honor Prize)

M:    Geira von Maxhofen
MF:  Hrafn 737 frá Kröggólfsstöðum  FMF Hörður frá Kolkuósi
MM: Ragna von Reinhartsried

Fluga is an average size strongly built mare with an exceptionally sweet character. She  waits for her trainer at the gate every morning ready to go!
She is a natural tölter with good trot, walk and canter.
She has been under saddle for 3 months now, and will need another 2 months of training to be balanced and fit. She is somewhat chubby now, as our horses are fattening up for the winter.
Fluga is calm but not lazy, has a 'been there, done that' attitude and will make a fabulous  leisure horse for an advanced beginner. She is very responsive to the bit and leg aids and has never bolted. She is used to trucks, wildlife, noise, tractors, etc.
She is for sale now, either to someone who wants to continue with her education (lower price). Price will increase with training.
Fluga had one foal  in 2017.

He plays a lot and loves being an uncle to our foals.
